AKA: Thirst Fursday

This is the place to bring your brew for expert review or just to show off. Also the best place to catch up on local beer happenings. We generally gather in the cellar room beginning around 7 p.m., but to be absolutely certain where we are, ask at one of the host stations. Experienced judges and great professional and amateur brewers are always on hand to provide their critique of your homebrew, if you so desire. This is the forum to get answers to your brew-related questions and join in with Chicago’s “beer elite.”

The Goose Island Brewpub is located at 1800 N Clybourn, Chicago. Closest CTA stops are North/Clybourn (Red Line) and Armitage (Brown Line). Cabs are easily available on Clybourn Avenue.

Come and join fellow CBSers for great beer and camaraderie at Chicago’s premier beer bar, where there’s always a great atmosphere and the city’s most-astute beer selection.

Cruise by for some after-work relaxation, and bring your CBS membership card to get $1 off all non-discounted beers (drafts and bottles). We’ll be there, starting around 6:00 p.m.

Map Room is located at 1949 N Hoyne Ave (SE corner of Armitage and Hoyne), in Chicago. It’s about a 10-minute walk from either the CTA El stop at Western (Blue Line) or the Metra Union Pacific North and Northwest station at Clybourn Junction. The CTA 73 Armitage bus stops virtually at the door and the 50 Damen bus is one block to the east, but neither runs very late. Cabs are always plentiful on Armitage Avenue.
