Yes, it’s open to the public. Maybe tasting some fine homebrew will get you motivated, both to homebrew and to join the Beer Society!

The special beers were presented for the Beer Advocate gathering, which has now been moved to another day and time.

CBS First Thursday has always been focused on the sharing and tasting of homebrewed beers, and we’re thankful to Goose Island for allowing us to sample them at their brewpub. As such, we have always encouraged our members to buy a meal and some Goose beers during our visits.

On occasion, Goose Island’s brewer is willing to share some new beers with us, but it’s not something we expect regularly. Goose brewer Jared Rouben should be a special guest at November’s gathering, so perhaps this will be one of those days.

I am wondering if Goose will have any of there recently tapped beers at our CBS meeting? They used to do that but have not over the last 6 months or so.

Of course not. It’s a brewpub! Imagine you’ll want to buy a few Goose-brewed beers in addition to sampling homebrew.
